Nathan Massey is a proud new dad after Love Island co-star Cara de la Hoyde gave birth to a baby boy.
So naturally he couldn’t resist sharing a photo from the hospital room to celebrate the momentous occasion.
But Nathan admitted Cara may not be as pleased with the snap…
While he’s seen beaming for the camera, looking every inch the proud dad-to-be, his partner can be seen in labour behind him.

He captioned the snap: “The day has finally come !!!! Myself and Cara have become parents to our beautiful baby boy !!! Massive hats off to Cara who delivered our boy safely !!!!! P.S I hope you don’t kill me for the pic Cara.”
Cara hasn’t commented, so we’re not sure how she feels about it.
But one fan warned Nathan: “She will kill you!”
However, another said: “She won’t care what she looks like, she’ll feel on top of the world, congrats, lovely news x.”
Other eagle-eyed fans spotted a huge sparkler on Cara’s engagement ring finger and wondered if the couple had another bit of good news to share?!
Former circus performer Cara, 26, gave birth to a baby boy on Wednesday morning, her representative confirmed to OK! magazine.
A photo posted to Cara’s Instagram account showed her clutching a tiny hand.
She wrote: “So today we met the hand we will hold forever. So in love my heart could burst.”
Cara also shared the news on Twitter, simply posting two emojis: a woman cradling a baby and a blue heart.
She was inundated with congratulatory messages from fans and friends, including fellow islander Olivia Buckland, thrilled that another Love Island baby has arrived in the world.
The couple have yet to reveal their little boy’s name, but in an interview with OK! magazine earlier this year, Cara and Nathan said they like traditional baby names like Archie.
However, Cara added: “Archie and Alfie have been done so much. We’re not naming him after food or a place, he’s going to have a strong name.”
Cara and Nathan met on the second series of Love Island back in 2016, and went on to scoop the grand prize of £50,000
However, they split less than a year later, before Cara then confirmed the following month that she was pregnant with Nathan’s child.
But, in lovely news just before Christmas, the reality stars reconciled their differences, confirming last month they were back together and excited about welcoming their baby into the world.
They confirmed their reunion with a cute loved-up selfie posted to Instagram, which Cara captioned: “The rumours are true. Hands off he’s mine.”
Nathan shared the same snap to his own account, telling fans: “To squash all the rumours me and Cara are back together and stronger than ever!!! Right before Xmas.”
Aww!
Cara and Nathan had already revealed the sex of their baby earlier this year, saying they were thrilled as they’d always wanted a little boy.
Speaking to OK! magazine, Cara said: “I’m not very girlie so I’d rather have a little boy who’ll get all muddy than a little princess. I’m a bit more rough and ready. Now we know the sex, it’s so much more real.”
They are the second Love Island couple to have a baby: Luis Morrison and Cally-Jane Beech welcomed daughter Vienna in May.
In a funny twist, just hours before giving birth, Cara had shared her excitement at watching Ferne McCann’s new ITVBe documentary about pregnancy.
And in a recent interview with Closer magazine, she said she’d love to follow in the footsteps of stars like Ferne, Sam Faiers and Binky Felstead who have documented motherhood on camera.
“Sam and Binky’s shows are wonderful but Nathan and I wouldn’t be going to Beverly Hills or dining in Harrods, it’s all a bit fancy!” she said.

“I think a lot of couples would be able to relate to us as we’re so normal.
“I’ve always wanted to be a mum, so it feels like a dream come true.”
Congrats!
