MAFS UK viewers have threatened to boycott the show as two controversial stars could be set for a return.
Three stars of the show left the show earlier this week. However, two could be set for a return already – and fans aren’t happy.
What has happened on MAFS UK?
It’s been a drama-filled week or so on Married At First Sight UK. As well as welcoming some new couples, the show has also seen Brad, Shona, Terence, and Porscha leave the experiment.
Last week, Nathanial and Ella’s marriage came to an end after it was revealed that Ella had fallen for JJ. They were texting in secret and even met up behind the backs of their respective partners.
After exposing Ella’s behaviour during the dinner party – and having an explosive argument as a result – Nathanial dramatically quit the show.
Earlier this week, during the commitment ceremony, JJ and Bianca opted to leave the experiment after realising their marriage was unsalvagable.
Meanwhile, Ella – now without husband Nathanial at her side – was sent packing by the experts.
Ella and JJ to return to MAFS UK?
However, at the end of last night’s episode, viewers realised perhaps JJ and Ella‘s time on the show isn’t over as first thought.
During the preview for the next episode (which airs tonight, Wednesday, October 25), it’s heavily hinted that Ella and JJ will be returning.
The episode ends with two people crashing a meeting between the other couples. Jordan can be seen with his head in his hands as he realises what’s happening.
“None of the couples are expected for the biggest shock of the experiment so far,” the narrator says.
“It’s absolute [bleep],” Erica tells the cameras. “I’m not into it.”
Whilst the shock twist is yet to be revealed, many viewers think Ella and JJ have re-entered the experiment as a couple.
Fans threaten to boycott
Upon seeing the teaser for tonight’s episode, fans flooded to social media. Some went so far as to say that they would boycott the show if Ella and JJ returned as a couple.
“I’m not even being dramatic when I say I’m considering not watching because Ella and JJ are coming back,” one viewer fumed.
“Well, it looks like Ella and JJ are coming back as a couple. Totally disrespectful,” another said.
“If that shock is Ella & JJ back I’m off….. makes a mockery of the program,” a third E4 viewer wrote. “If they come back it makes a mockery of the whole thing and I’m switching off,” another tweeted.
A fifth then said: “If Ella and JJ return as a couple I’m going to riot, where’s Bianca and Nathaniel’s second chance.” However, some viewers seem interested at the prospect.
“Ella and JJ are back #mafsuk that should ruffle some feathers,” one fan said.
