Matt Evers had been backing his skating partner Gemma Collins following her row with judge Jason Gardiner, but now he has apologised to Jason after “intimating” he may have sold stories on The GC.
Gemma claimed Jason was “selling stories” about her on Sunday’s Dancing On Ice and Matt spoke on Heart Radio yesterday (21 January) to back her up. However, Jason, and the newspaper he had an interview with, have denied the claims.
Now, 42-year-old Matt has come out to say sorry to Jason, admitting he made a mistake.
He tweeted: “Always own up to your mistakes! I just want to say sorry to Jason as today on Heart FM I intimated he sold stories to a newspaper. I totally got my wires crossed and I apologise. It’s been one hell of a 24 hours!”

Matt’s public turnaround comes after Jason hit out at the accusations made against him with a series of tweets.
In one message, the choreographer, also 42, wrote: “For those foolish enough to believe the salacious & libelous accusations about me selling stories to @TheSun, read what journalist @SimonBoyle87 says as he sets the record straight! #honestjudge #integrity #Doingmyjob.”

Thank you Simon. I really appreciate this. Being wrongly accused of “selling stories” was a blatant attempt to defame my character. I know you didn’t have to make this statement but hopefully now people will wake up & stop believing the BS that come out of @missgemcollins gob.
