Michelle Keegan shared a glammed up shot from the set of Our Girl, ahead of the drama’s season three premiere.
The shot shows the actress in full camouflage get up, as Lance Corporal Georgie Lane – with a stylish pair of sunglasses, and showing a flash of faux fur.
The image was captioned, “When George went a little chic… Not long now 5 more sleep till #ourgirl is BACK!!!! @bbcone 9pm October 10th ❤️”
Michelle took over the lead of Our Girl for it’s second season, last year, taking the reins from Lacey Turner as Private Molly Dawes.
While seasons one and two of the BBC drama each followed a five episode arc, season three is set to run for twelve episodes, divided into three four episode arcs. The premiere episode of Our Girl: Nepal will be airing on October 10th.
The shoot for this season of Our Girl has been a tumultuous time for Michelle, an has seen her jet setting around the place, away from her home in LA, and her husband, Mark Wright.
The separation has seemed tough for Mark, who’s been trying to establish his career in the US. The former TOWIE star has been sharing how much he’s missed his wife on social media.
He posted shots of a night out to Instagram Stories, saying: “Bored!! Nothing is good without you!! Hollywood club or not, just not the same. 2 months hurry up.”
But Michelle has remained philosophical about the enforced separation, suggesting that it makes them appreciate each other all the more.
“I don’t understand how a couple can’t have their separate careers,” she told The Sun, “and why can’t a newly married woman go off and do her job and a husband go off and do his? I’d say there is a slight degree of sexism to it.”
While stating that the couple relied on video calling to stay in touch, she did acknowledge the the time difference made it a challenge.
“…if I get in from work, he’s just getting up; and when he’s going to bed, I’m just getting up,” she said. “We text as much as we can.”
The extended location shooting had another side effect – the actress recently revealed that she gained a stone while filming.
“I haven’t had time to work out,” she said, speaking to Women’s Health, “and I literally landed two days ago and now I’m kicking myself and thinking, ‘Why didn’t I just eat healthily while I was away?’”
The actress said she wasn’t too bothered by the weight game, saying “I think I needed to put on a bit of weight. I was a bit bony.”
