After wowing the judges and making it through to The X Factor’s Bootcamp, Brad Howard has gushed about his ex, Our Girl star, Michelle Keegan.
The model and X Factor contestant appeared on Lorraine to talk about his progress on the show, but the subject quickly changed to his love life.

After mentioning his current relationship with fellow X Factor hopeful, Lydia Calvin, Lorraine Kelly sidestepped into the past: “You used to go out with lovely Michelle.”
Brad was more than willing to talk about his ex, saying, “She’s a great girl. Fair play to her, she’s doing amazing.”
“She’s a great girl and got a lovely personality,” he continued, adding that he had enjoyed seeing her performance in the BBC’s drama Our Girl.
Brad and Michelle dated for two years, before splitting in 2010.
Brad was also keen to praise new flame Lydia, who he met during the audition process. “”I met Lydia at the hotel where we were staying on the second day,” he told Lorraine. “She’s an amazing girl.”
“We kind of just clicked straight away.” Brad went on to talk about how much it helped to have her on the X Factor journey with him.
“It was nice, we just get on, it’s somebody you can confide in,” he said. “She was there for the same reason as me.”
After making it through to the Judges’ houses portion of the competition, Brad is already being tipped as a favourite on the talent show.

He’s been sharing his progress across his social media accounts, posting frequent behind-the-scenes shots on Instagram.
Michelle is now married to TOWIE’s Mark Wright, who’s been open about how difficult it is to be separated from his wife, as she films in on location, while he is working in LA.
“Nothing’s good without you,” he posted on his Instagram account, while on a night out in Hollywood.
