The Christmas trailer for the festive special of Mrs Brown’s Boys has been revealed – giving fans a sneaky peak of the new actor replacing Rory Cowan’s character.
The actor, who quit the show after 26 years of playing Rory Brown, has been replaced with a new actor – but until now no one knew quite how the show was going to explain his change in appearance.
But Brendan O’Carroll’s come up with a genus way to explain the change in Rory – he’s had an entire face transplant!
As the new Rory arrives home, he can be seen with his whole face bandaged up – and he remains that way for the majority of the programme.

Speaking of the Christmas Day twist, Brendan told RTÉ Radio: “The reveal is very, very good. And what I love about this episode is that everybody goes, ‘There’s no change’.
“Except Agnes, who goes, ‘It’s not Rory!'”
Rory Cowan departed the show after claiming he’s not been happy working there for the last two years. He told the Irish Mirror: “I got tired of it.
