Nadia Sawalha has been inundated with messages of condolence after being hit with a family tragedy.
The 53-year-old’s beloved Nanny Thelma – her husband Mark Adderley’s grandmother – has passed away aged 94.
And one of the people who offered words of support was Nadia’s good mate and Loose Women co-star Kaye Adams.
Kaye, 54, posted a video clip on the show’s official Twitter feed, in which she offered some words of kindness as well as revealing her own struggle with her mum’s ill health.
The panellist said: “Hi everyone, I just wanted to explain why we’ve gone a little bit quiet of late.
“Sadly, Nadia’s family has lost Nanny Thelma, which has been very difficult and very painful for them.
“My own mum has had a bit of a health setback, so I’ve been focusing on that. And it’s just life, I guess.
“You try and keep all the plates spinning, but there come times when you’ve just got to batten down the hatches and focus on what’s really, really important. I’m sure a lot of you will relate to that.”

Earlier this year, Nadia and TV producer Mark celebrated Nanny Thelma’s birthday by sharing a sweet selfie of the three of them together.
The photo was captioned: “How blessed are we after Nanny Thelma being so poorly. Here we are celebrating her 94th birthday!”
After Kaye uploaded her video, fans of the ITV show rushed to offer comfort.
One wrote: “Family comes first. You lovely ladies, you offer so much love and support to your supporters, it’s time we show the love and support back.”
Another added: “I just wish both your families all the love in the world at such sad and hard times. Take care both of you xx.”
And a third said: “Thinking of you both. Take all the time you need – we will all still be here when you get back.”

Quite when we’ll see Nadia and Kaye again remains to be seen – but Kaye says she hopes it won’t be too long.
She said on the video: “Please bear with us as we muddle through this middle part of life, and all the challenges it throws up. We will see you soon.”
