The brand new Alex Scott quiz show The Tournament has divided viewers after its first episode.
Airing today for the first time (Monday November 8), the BBC described the show as bringing “all the drama and tension of the sporting arena to BBC Daytime”.
So now it has begun its run, what did viewers make of the show… and Alex as presenter?
What is The Tournament with Alex Scott all about?
The show, which aired this afternoon at 2.15pm, saw eight contestants do battle.
They competed against each other in a series of fast-paced quiz battles to eliminate their opponents from the day’s game and walk away with a cash prize.

Before the show got going, former England football international Alex, 37, took to Instagram to share with fans her pre-match nerves and excitement.
“Can’t actually believe I have my own quiz show on the telly,” she wrote.
“This is a mad one, lol… I really hope you enjoy it.”
How did viewers react to Alex’s new show?
Viewers were quick to give their responses to the fast-paced quiz on Twitter.
Initially there was a negative reaction, with some bemoaning that Alex is on telly too much at the moment.
One asked: “Is there nothing the #bbc @bbc will stop at to get #AlexScott on every programme #boring #Bland #humourless.”
Another said: “BBC1…#theTournament what a pile of drivel.”
A third tweeted: “Don’t worry, I won’t be watching again.”
“Can’t wait for for the next episode!”
However, Alex’s fans soon got in touch to voice their support and praised her new show.
“Just watched The Tournament with @AlexScott great quiz show and great host!!!” one gushed.
