Just when we thought everything was back on track with this year’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, news reaches us that the filming schedule could be thrown into chaos by an influx of deadly spiders. Grim.
The launch date of the 2017 series was confirmed last week and it’s also been unofficially confirmed that co-host Ant McPartlin WILL join Declan Donnelly after his stint in rehab.

But now it’s a bunch of Australian beasties that have cast doubt on the show.
According to the Daily Star, the celeb camp is under threat from a host of eight-legged creepy-crawlies because they’re all confused about the weather down under.
Experts have apparently said that poisonous Redback Spiders as well as dangerous Funnel-Web spiders and non-venomous-but-still-pretty-gross Huntsmen spiders could infest the set.
The boffins say that the spiders are confused by recent rain and scorching temperatures in Australia and are being seen out and about more than usual for this time of year.
The Redback in particular is a very dangerous creature with 14 human deaths having been recorded from one of its bites.
Luckily though an anti-venom was introduced in 1956 and no-one has actually died since then. But STILL, we wouldn’t wanna risk it.
It is believed that I’m a Celebrity is filmed in Springbrook National Park, in New South Wales, Australia – which could be affected.
Arachnologist Dr Robert Raven told the paper: “In the past we’ve had early rain and nothing. Just really dry summers. But this summer, the rain is allowing the whole system to crank up again.
People should check everywhere. If you pick up your towel, the next thing you know you could have a Huntsman on your face.
“A lot of the spiders are pretty harmless, but Redbacks are of particular concern.”
It was revealed last week that I’m A Celeb would start on November 19th, two weeks later than usual.
The series was pushed back after much-loved co-host, Ant McPartlin, recovered from a stint in rehab due to alcohol and prescription drug abuse.

It even looked uncertain if the popular Geordie star would be well enough to take on presenting duties from the celebrity camp in Australia this year.
Last week ITV also released a teaser trailer which featured Ant’s distinctive voice alongside that of his presenting partner, Declan Donnelly.
