Strictly Come Dancing’s Motsi Mabuse reckons introducing same-sex dancing couples could be a ratings winner for the show.
The new judge, 38, reportedly suggested the BBC One dance series should “keep evolving” – but admitted the change could “go wrong”.
Speaking to Gay Times, Motsi indicated the British version of the show is not in line with other series across the world which have made the decision to introduce partners of the same sex to perform together.
She explained: “Strictly is probably aware of the changes that are happening socially.”

Motsi, who has also been a judge for Let’s Dance in Germany, added: “In Germany, we’ve completely gone that way.
“We’ve had two ladies dancing together.”
The South African dancer and choreographer – who sister is much-loved pro Oti – also noted the change up could benefit Strictly, and ensure it ‘develops’.
Referring to Let’s Dance, Motsi continued: “The ratings proved the point that sometimes, if you risk something, it pays off.

“It might go wrong – but at least you tried. The worst thing you can do is stay on the same spot.”
Last year’s series saw a group routine by the pros saw the dancers matched up in same-sex pairings.
It is believed judge Craig Revel Horwood pushed for the inclusive performance.
A Strictly spokesperson previously told reporters that show bosses are “open to the prospect of including same sex pairings between celebrities and professional dancers”.
