DIY SOS presenter Nick Knowles was mocked for being “too emotional” by interior designer Gabrielle Blackman after she was berated for distracting a crew of builders from the task at hand.
Gabrielle had commandeered 10 workers on another job helping renovate a home for a Birmingham-based family to help her sort out tiles for table tops – but she was well aware the interference would not go down well with Nick and carpenter Mark Millar.
“This is all about time management,” she said as the builders formed a human chain to shift a load of tiles.

“We’ve got about five minutes before Millar notices we’re here.”
An exasperated Nick was heard saying in voiceover as Gabrielle and her crew were seen marching away with the materials: “You can’t just clear the whole site and borrow everyone!”
However, unknown to Gabrielle, Nick and Mark had been observing her activities and were very unimpressed when they confronted her over the diverted workforce.

“Gabs, what the hell are you doing?” asked Nick.
She replied, hesitantly: “Er… we are just sorting out some table tops.
“The whole downstairs of the job has stopped,” an angry Mark spluttered before the smirking builders were asked to leave and go back to the jobs expected of them.
A calm but irritated Nick went on to give Gabrielle a dressing down before she lashed out back at him.
“I’m a great fan of yours Gabs, but I think on this one you’ve dropped one,” grumbled Nick.
With Mark totting up how much time had been wasted on Gabrielle’s unscheduled piece of work, Nick continued: “If they’ve been away even for half an hour – and there’s ten of them – that’s five man hours we’ve lost on the job doing this.”
Gabrielle’s protests about how long the builders had actually spent helping her were quickly followed by her own accusation.
“You’re just getting very emotional about this, it’s fine,” she insisted to a Nick with folded arms.
Nick and Mark continued to knock Gabrielle’s sneaky approach as they trudged away, leaving her by herself.
“You’ve dropped a clanger and you’ve ruined the job,” Mark fumed.
A despondent Nick agreed, saying: “A little bit.”
However, even though it was Gabrielle initially at fault, one viewer did not appreciate the way Nick and Mark went about speaking to her.
Had enough of Mark and Nick bullying and belittling Gabby – just not funny anymore #diysos
