Paul O’Grady thrills Lorraine with special message for her dog Angus

It was a very im-paw-tant day for little dog

Lorraine Kelly’s gorgeous little pooch has turned one in true showbiz style!

Not only was the Border terrier treated to an elaborate cake live on Friday’s show (a life-sized version of himself, no less), he was also gifted a slew of elaborate gifts, including a rain jacket, a new lead and even a paw-trait (geddit?) of himself by former Emmerdale star Matthew Bose.

However, the true gift came in the form of a special birthday message from Paul O’Grady.

“Hiya Lorraine, I believe it’s Angus’s first birthday. I’m in Battersea, where else would I be,” announced Paul in a specially recorded message. “And this fella here is tiny Tim and we both want to wish Angus a very happy birthday.”

Clearly thrilled, Lorraine exclaimed: “A birthday message from Paul O’Grady!”

The Scottish presenter threw her little dog an elaborate shindig on today’s show, complete with balloons and gifts.

“I cannot believe that he is a year old,” she gushed.

Viewers at home were keen to get in on the action, tweeting their well-wishes to the little pooch.

Not everyone was thrilled with the show’s line-up, though, with one viewer tweeting, “So Lorraine has a whole segment about her dog. Is there nothing else to report?”

Another wrote: “Just scrolling through the hate for Lorraine and wondering how is this show still on air?!! It’s clearly not loved anymore.”
