BGT winner Paul Potts has spoken of his frustration over his Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions performance.
The 48-year-old, who won the first ever Britain’s Got Talent in 2007, gave a crowd roaring performance on Saturday night’s opening show, but faced the humiliation of not going through to the next round.

Simon Cowell criticised his performance and said his vocals were shaky, and Paul has responded to his untimely exit by saying that changes were made last minute by the show’s producers.
In response to a fan, Paul wrote: “Was little frustrated with myself as after 15 run throughs, Production gave me a change of camera direction on my way to the stage and it left me looking for the camera that came from different direction.”

But after the press picked up on his claims, he went on to tweet that he actually blamed himself.
He tweeted: “Hmmmm perhaps my words should be read a little more carefully. I blamed myself.
“I self analyse after every performance and I can pick out every error. My job is to do everything I can to avoid slipping up due to these things including technical issues.”
And while Simon slammed his vocals, many viewers took to Twitter to complain that Paul looked ‘sulky’ on stage and less than thrilled to be back on the show that made him a household name.
Paul defended this criticism as well, and said he wasn’t sulky but that is simply his face.
He tweeted, “To those that thought I was sulking – that’s what I look like most of the time lol I can prove it with this still from the original audition: I don’t do fake smiles, but it doesn’t mean I am grumpy sulky or feeling entitled.”

But all is not lost for Paul. Despite his exit from the series, he is still a remarkably successful performer.
The tenor has to date sold almost five million albums and has an estimated fortune of over £8 million.
