Whatever you think of Piers Morgan, he sure does know how to make his fans laugh.
On Tuesday, the Good Morning Britain tried out a new app that ages you, sharing the results with his 6.7million Twitter followers and joking: “I need a break.”

The 54-year-old looks closer to 74 in the photo, and many found it hilarious. One tweeted: “Lol!! You definitely need a break.🤣🤣😂😂.” A second joked: “You look no different 😂😂.”
A third laughed: “What’s your secret? Have you started moisturising?” One more suggested all his complaining was ageing him, saying: “You wanna stop moaning about Arsenal!”
A few offered some elderly-Piers lookalikes, with one follower suggesting: “You look like Michael Burke.” Another wrote: “Could Parkinson be your brother?” While a third added: “Micheal Winner is back from the dead!”

Many, er, lesser Piers fans also jumped on the chance to tell him to take all the time he needs. One wrote: “You need a break? WE need a break from YOU! Take the next 20yrs off!!!!!”
A second added: “Please take a permanent one!” While a third joked: “A long break… preferably retirement.”
It wasn’t totally a joke, as the dad-of-four confirmed he is now taking time off his GMB role, along with his co-host, Susanna Reid.
He retweeted a message from Susanna on Wednesday morning, that read: “It’s a wrap! That’s all from @piersmorgan & me ‘til September. Happy summer.”

The 48-year-old added that the ITV morning show would continue without them, tweeting: “@GMB back tomorrow from 6am.”
Many were sad about the news, with one writing: “Oh no, Good Morning Britain is going be so boring while you gone, I am yawning already 🤣.”
Another tweeted: “It’s going to be a very long boring summer without you guys on every morning!! Enjoy and hurry back!! x.” A third wished them the best, writing: “Enjoy your holiday.”
Some were happier about the news, with one tweeting: “GMB’s going to be watchable again for a bit then.” A second wrote: “Thank goodness. I can watch ITV in the mornings again. Piers Morgan and his loud unkind behaviour sent me elsewhere.”
A third told Susanna: “Sad to be losing you. Glad to be losing him.”

That’s it then for Piers and Susanna for a few weeks. The far less controversial Charlotte Hawkins will be in the hosting chair – will you be watching?
