Piers Morgan could have had his life saved by an eagle-eyed viewer who spotted a dubious looking blemish on his chest.
The Good Morning Britain host was contacted by a viewer after his documentary on serial killer crime aired.
The documentary sees Piers Morgan interview prisoners convicted of multiple murders, with some scenes and details particularly uncomfortable to watch.

But it wasn’t the gruesome content of the documentary the viewer found disturbing – it was a strange looking mark visible on Piers’ chest.
Gillian Nuttall – the founder of Melanoma UK – contacted Piers and urged him to get the blemish checked after watching his ITV Serial Killer documentary – and the advice may just have saved his life.
Speaking about the intervention, Piers said: “When my Serial Killer crime documentary aired on ITV in November, Gillian Nuttall, founder of Melanoma UK, emailed me.”
He continued, “She wrote: ‘Piers, at the risk of sounding like a lunatic, I’m just watching your programme and there’s a blemish visible on your chest. Have you had it checked?’”

Gillian founded Melanoma UK in 2007, giving support to patients of the most deadly form of skin cancer, usually detected when a mole appears on the body.
No doubt because of her expertise, Piers decided to listen to Gillian’s concerns and made an appointment with a dermatologist immediately.
Dad-of-three Piers said: “This week, a top dermatologist took one look and immediately cut it out.
“Much further delay, he informed me, and it might well have turned cancerous.”
And he went on the praise Gillian for getting in touch.
“Give that lady a gold star!” he said.
Piers added: “Thanks, Gillian. Oh the irony of a serial killer inadvertently helping to save my life. Merry Christmas!”
