Piers Morgan has said there was not a dry eye after the filming of presenter Kate Garraway‘s upcoming episode of Life Stories on ITV.
Piers posted the comment on his Instagram story, which contained a picture of Piers and Kate on the set of the show.
The picture had been posted by Piers’ ex-Good Morning Britain co-host, Susanna Reid.

Susanna captioned the Instagram picture with: “So moved to be in the audience for Piers Morgan’s final Life Stories with our wonderful friend Kate Garraway, which was emotional and uplifting. It will be on ITV soon. You won’t want to miss it.”
Piers then posted the picture on his own Instagram story for his 1.8 million followers to see. He captioned the story with: “Not a dry eye in the house by the end.”

The episode featuring Kate will be Piers Morgan’s final as host of Life Stories. He is stepping down after 12 years to host a new global daily show for talkTV.
Piers posted a picture on his Instagram on Monday showing his notes for his final Life Stories episode. He captioned the picture: “Final prep for my final Life Stories which is being filmed today. Can’t think of anyone I would rather do it with than my great friend Kate Garraway.

Kate Garraway will be taking his place as presenter of the show in 2022.
What’s happening with Kate Garraway at the moment?
This Life Stories episode with Kate Garraway comes at a tough time for the 54-year-old broadcaster, as her husband, Derek, is still fighting a health battle.
Derek, also 54, contracted Covid-19 in 2020, and was hospitalised. He then remained in hospital for over a year after suffering from Long Covid. He was discharged in April 2021.

However, Derek is still seriously incapacitated. He has suffered many complications in his health fight, including damage to his lungs, kidneys, liver, and heart, as well as brain inflammation. He is also unable to communicate like he used to.
Kate, a close friend and colleague of Piers, has been open about hers and Derek’s battle to overcome his health issues over the past 20 months or so.
