Good Morning Britain’s Ranvir Singh hints she ditched husband after checking his phone

Is it right to check your partner's messages?

Good Morning Britain’s Ranvir Singh has hinted she split with her husband after snooping on his phone and discovering something suspicious.

The presenter, 41, made the comments about her marriage on the show this morning (April 5th) as they discussed whether or not it’s okay to look through your partner’s messages.

When the question was raised, Ranvir’s co-host Ben Shephard said, “No, I don’t believe it is” and the others appeared to agree.

But Ranvir then admitted, “I have”, prompting a shocked Ben to ask her: “Have you? You have?”

She clarified that it had happened just “once” and Ben asked: “Is that why you are no longer together?”

Ranvir paused, smiling, and told him: “I can’t answer that question. But I have always thought that if you ever feel you need to do that then the relationship is over, because you obviously don’t trust that person.”

Asked if she discovered anything incriminating on her husband’s phone, she admitted: “I found something that needed addressing… I would say, you think you don’t need to do it until you do.”

ED! has reached out to Ranvir’s reps for comment.

Ranvir and her husband Ranjeet Singh Dehal married in 2012 and they have a son together, Tushaan.

She joined the Good Morning Britain lineup in 2014, having already made a name for herself on breakfast telly as a host on Daybreak.

She also features on ITV News and previously hosted her own show, Real Stories with Ranvir Singh, where she explored the lives of ordinary people involved in extraordinary events.

We could be seeing more of Ranvir over the next couple of weeks, as regulars Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid are taking time off from the show for the Easter break.

Richard Madeley was confirmed last week as one of the stand-ins replacing them.
