Richard Madeley dealt another blow to I’m A Celebrity this morning (Monday November 29) when he confirmed that he would not go back to the show in Wales.
The 65-year-old is now at home after a stint in hospital.
The former This Morning and current Good Morning Britain presenter also disclosed what he binged on when he got him after being given the all-clear from the hospital. And it’s not what you expect!
What did Richard Madeley say about going back into I’m A Celebrity?
Richard joined GMB colleagues Susanna Reid and Ben Shephard in the studio to update his health status, and lift the lid on life in the camp.
“I just couldn’t go back. I wanted to. We talked about it and there was no way I could risk taking the bug back in with me.

Susanna then asked if he would go back in next year.
However, he said he would “never say never” to going back… but only to Australia, not Wales.
“I wouldn’t do that castle again thanks very much.
“I’d go where it’s warm.”
What did Richard binge on when he got home?
Richard Madeley from I’m A Celebrity then answered viewers’ questions.
One asked what he binged on when he got out of hospital and at home.
“Between 9 o’clock on Saturday morning and 11.30 on Saturday morning, I ate two large tins of Spam,” he replied.
Susanna feigned a gag reflex and asked him why Spam.
“I don’t know,” he answered. “Why do pregnant women crave to eat coal, I don’t get it!”
“[We had] rice and beans most of the time; Spam’s quite highly flavoured. I just suddenly developed a passion for it.
“And I was starving.”
Why did Richard Madeley leave I’m A Celebrity?
On Wednesday night, Richard went to hospital after feeling ill.
