This year’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here is looking better and better – especially now Rita Simons is reportedly heading for the jungle!
The TV star, who is best known for playing Roxy Mitchell on EastEnders, is said to be on her way to Australia as part of the reality show, which starts at 9pm on November 18.
Rita, 41, was on the BBC soap for ten years, until she and Samantha Womack, who played her sister, were dramatically killed off in 2017.
This summer, Rita – who is the niece of Lord Alan Sugar – admitted she was still upset about it, explaining: “I wish they hadn’t killed us off. I don’t feel bitter but I haven’t quite made peace with the fact we are dead.
“Both Sam and I were gutted. That decision was made by one person and we had no choice in the matter.”
She’s recently been starring as Paulette in Legally Blonde the Musical as it toured the UK.
Fans were thrilled with the news about I’m A Celeb, taking to social media to comment: “Rita Simons is winning I’m A Celeb, okay x.” Another added: “It gets a thumbs up from me now that Rita Simons is in the mix. #ImACeleb.”

Insiders tell The Sun the actress is one of nine celebrities ‘confirmed’ to be entering the jungle.
It’s reported Rita will be joined by football manager Harry Redknapp; X Factor star Fleur East; DIY SOS presenter Nick Knowles; The Inbetweeners star Emily Atack; The Vamps singer James McVey; The Chase’s Anne Hegerty; Coronation Street star Sair Khan; and Hollyoaks actor Malique Thompson-Dwyer.
Another new face joining the show this year comes in the lovely form of Holly Willoughby.
The mum-of-three has taken some time off her This Morning job to join Declan Donnelly as an interim presenter covering Ant McPartlin.
But she’s admitted to being pretty worried about filling those big shoes.
Last year, Made in Chelsea’s Georgia ‘Toff’ Toffolo was crowned queen of the jungle.
