Romeo and Duet viewers are desperate for Oti Mabuse to return to Strictly Come Dancing.
Several fans tweeted their despair about her new role during Saturday (April 23) night’s episode of the ITV dating show.
They made it clear they regard Romeo and Duet as “codswallop” and inferior to her previous BBC gig.
Indeed, several seemed incredulous that Oti would “choose” Romeo and Duet over Strictly.
And it seems those same fans would prefer it if Oti – also a judge on Dancing On Ice – headed back to Strictly instead.
Romeo and Duet with Oti Mabuse: How viewers reacted
Oti, 31, dazzled in an eye-opening blue dress for the second episode of Romeo and Duet.
I love Oti, but damn this is just cringe.
And, even though the South African star remains a telly favourite, some of those watching at home were bemused at the thought Oti “picked” the ITV show in favour of continuing with Strictly.

Two-time series winner Oti said at the time of her Strictly departure: “I can’t put in to words how difficult this decision has been, but I have decided not to return for the next series.”
However, some underwhelmed observers indicated they felt Oti should have wrestled with her decision even more than she did.

Another unimpressed viewer who watched again to confirm their distaste for the show tweeted: “Tolerated about 10 minutes of #RomeoAndDuet last week. Has Oti actually left #Strictly for this sort of [blank]?”
Others also expressed their disbelief at the dance star’s career choices.
One asked: “Has Oti really left @bbcstrictly to host this utter codswallop? #RomeoAndDuet.”
“I can’t believe @OtiMabuse left Strictly for this [blank]! Absolutely dreadful #RomeoAndDuet,” another concluded.
‘Loved tonight’s show’

Posting on Instagram, one commented: “OMG!!! Oti I’ve just started watching #romeoandduet yesssssss Queen!! Brilliant!”
A second added: “Loved tonight’s show!”
