Rylan Clark-Neal asked if roving reporter Alison Hammond was “alright” after she dived into the sea in the South Of France while hosting a competition segment on This Morning today.
It follows the reported deaths of three people from cold-water shock on beaches in southern France as a killer heatwave grips the country.
Cutting to Alison earlier in the show, she explained to hosts Rylan and Eamonn Holmes that temperatures were set to reach 44C on the Cote D’Azur today.
The former Big Brother star then tried to cool down with a cocktail.

Ignoring warnings from weather experts, the bubbly star later revealed that she was “going in” the sea.
“I’m going in guys, see you later,” Alison screamed.
“Go on Al, get right in there, go on, get out further,” Rylan heckled.

However, when she screamed out in surprise after feeling the effects of the cold water, Rylan asked: “Is she alright?”
Cold-water shock occurs when even strong and confident swimmers are suddenly immersed in water, usually with a temperature below 15˚C.
It can instantly affect breathing and movement.
Joking, Rylan added: “I think we’ve lost her.”
He added: “It was nice knowing you,” before sounding more serious as he said: “Can we send someone out please?”
However, Eamonn was on hand to offering a reassuring quip.
“She’s swimming back to the ship,” he joked, in reference to the fact that Alison has been on a European cruise all week.
