Sex/Life is the latest new series set to dominate Netflix headlines.
The highly anticipated comedy-drama is based on BB Easton’s book, 44 Chapters About 4 Men, Sex/Life.
Made with a mostly all-female creative team, the show explores sexual desires from a woman’s perspective.
Creator Stacy Rukeyser recently teased it would feature “a healthy dose of objectifying and fetishising the male form”.
So it’s already at the top of our Netflix list!
What is the Netflix series Sex/Life about?
The series tells the story of housewife Billie. She’s struggling to juggle being a devoted housewife and mother while missing her old life.
As she gets increasingly reminiscent, she begins having steamy fantasies about her ex-boyfriend.

“It’s a nostalgia-fuelled, sparkly fever dream, rose-coloured-glasses view of the past – and the best sex you ever had,” Stacy told Entertainment Weekly.
As a result, soon Billie’s wild child past begins to catch up with her in increasingly awkward ways.
Things then get worse when her husband discovers the saucy entries in her secret diary.
Will her sexual desires spark a conflict in her marriage? Will she end up realising she made a mistake when she left her ex? Or will she go on a new sexual adventure with her husband?
Sex/Life: Who is in the cast?
Actress Sarah Shahi stars as the sexually liberated Billie.
She’s best known for her role in LGBT+ drama The L Word, where she played Carmen between 2005 and 2009.
However, she has also been seen in Person of Interest and US drama Chicago Fire.

She also hit headlines in April when her divorce from Shameless actor Steve Howey was finalised. The pair share three children together and had been together for 11 years.
Her husband on the show is being played by Mike Vogel.
Mike’s known to viewers for shows such as Bates Motel, Under The Dome and the movie Secret Obsession.
Meanwhile, actor Adam Demos plays Billie’s former flame, Brad. He’s already known to Netflix viewers after having starred in the movie Falling Inn Love.
Other fans may know him from the TV show UnREAL.
And he’s making headlines for a jaw-dropping naked shower scene in Sex-Life!
When is Sex/Life released on Netflix?
Sex/Life was first announced back in 2019.
It was originally due to film at the start of 2020, but sadly the global pandemic put a stop to things.
However, the eight-part series eventually began filming over the summer.
As a result, it only wrapped in December.
Netflix has revealed that Sex/Life will hit streaming in the UK on June 25.
