This Morning welcomed back Deidre Sanders for another phone-in today (Wednesday December 1) and soon viewers were shocked at one of the callers.
They blasted a ‘selfish’ granddaughter who has refused to get a Covid PCR test in order to spend Christmas with her nan.
The shocking revelation angered viewers as new restrictions have been put in place for the winter.
What happened on This Morning with Deidre?
In today’s phone-in resident agony aunt Deidre fielded calls from viewers with festive dilemmas.
Brenda from West Yorkshire called in and said: “I’ve got a 96-year-old mum who’s coming over for Christmas Day, and my daughter wants to come [and] see her.”

“Now, she hasn’t been jabbed… she doesn’t believe in it, and I don’t know what to do.”
When host Phillip Schofield asked Brenda if he daughter would take a PCR test, the mum answered no.
Deidre advised Brenda to not put her mum at risk because her daughter is choosing to not test herself.
And viewers agreed, wholeheartedly.

Brenda’s dilemma captured viewers’ imaginations and they rushed on to Twitter to voice some very strong opinions.
One fumed: “Brenda don’t hesitate, just tell your daughter to give her head a wobble and you’ll see her when she’s less selfish #ThisMorning.”
Another added: “How disrespectful of Brenda’s daughter.
“How would she feel if she was the one to cause her grandmother to become ill #ThisMorning #disrespectful.”

Will there be a lockdown this Christmas?
Brenda’s dilemma is one that will be facing many families up and down the UK this Christmas.
And, as new Covid restrictions have been introduced in a bid to hamper the spread of the new Omnicron variant, Health Secretary Sajid Javid appeared on Good Morning Britain today to address the situation.

“I think people can go about their business, whether that’s socialising or otherwise, as long as they are following the rules,” he said.
Mr Javid also said that the likelihood of any further lockdowns is “very, very low”.
