Soap fans are already furious at plans to move the beloved shows to show the FIFA World Cup instead.
The football competition happens once every four years and will begin next month, and fans of Corrie, EastEnders and Emmerdale are already dreading it.
For a month from the middle of June to the middle of July, fans of the shows face disappointment as the sporting competition is slated to broadcast.
At least 16 evenings when the soaps would usually air will be affected by the competition.
The first confirmed move will be on Friday June 15 when EastEnders will be removed from its usual 8pm slot to the post-watershed 9:10pm slot due to Portugal v Spain.

And viewers are furious at all the upheaval.
One wrote on Digital Spy forums: “I can’t understand in this day and age of digital TV why the BBC and ITV can’t give 4 weeks to dedicated channels for the World Cup.
“BBC could transfer BBC4 for the World Cup coverage and ITV could dedicate ITV4 for their coverage.
“It’s like all the viewers who religiously watch the soaps year in, year out suddenly don’t matter because they’d sooner show Puerto Rico vs Uzbekistan kicking a ball around for 90 minutes.”
Another added: “I don’t find football/world cup or any sport for that matter important, the world doesn’t stop for it.
“Don’t care if we win or lose either I can’t stand any of it and, IMO I don’t think soaps should be moved around for the sports.”

A third wrote: “The bloody football! [Expletive] off!”
“I have to admit I do get annoyed when an episode is cancelled one day and merged into an hour long ep some other time, but what can you do,” said another.
