Soap fans are furious that their beloved shows are being moved and cancelled for the FIFA World Cup instead.
The football competition happens once every four years and will begin next month, and fans of Corrie, EastEnders and Emmerdale are already dreading it.
For a month from next week to the middle of July, fans of the shows face disappointment as the sporting competition is slated to broadcast.
At least 16 evenings when the soaps would usually air will be affected by the competition.
The first confirmed move will be on Friday June 15 when EastEnders will be removed from its usual 8pm slot to the post-watershed 9:10pm slot due to Portugal v Spain.

But that won’t be the only move with Coronation Street and Emmerdale both being subject to disruptive cancellations and changes for the next month.
The week after both Corrie and Emmerdale will air hour-long specials on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
However that does mean that soap fans will get an hour of Emmerdale from 7pm followed by an hour of Coronation Street on those nights.
On the Monday EastEnders will move to 9.25pm for an hour-long special wth Tuesday’s episodes cancelled.
Then on Thursday and Friday the soap will move to a post-watershed 9pm slot for those two episodes.
Viewers are understandably furious at all the upheaval.
