Christine Bleakley looked shocked on Thursday morning’s Good Morning Britain, when her ITV colleagues accused her of being a “diva”.
But after the jokey comment from Ranvir Singh, the presenter had to admit: “I have my moments…”
Ranvir, who was presenting the ITV morning show alongside Adil Ray – while usual-stars Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid are off – were discussing reports of bad behaviour at Wednesday night’s BRIT awards.
Joking about claims that singer Dua Lipa locked herself in her dressing room, news reader Sean Fletcher asked Adil: “Didn’t you lock yourself in your dressing room this morning? You had a diva strop.”
Adil replied: “That’s right, yeah,” while Ranvir added: “We had to coax him out. Y’know, a bit of Indian tea.”
He went along with the joke, saying: “Yep, exactly. And a massage from Sean.”
The panel then threw to Christine, 39, who is covering Lorraine Kelly’s presenting spot on her morning show.
Ranvir, 41, introduced her, saying: “Well, talking of diva strops, Christine Lampard’s here…”
Christine looked shocked, raising her eyebrows, as Adil shouted: “WOAH, WOAH! Christine, that wasn’t me, OK? That was Ranvir. Any complaints – Ranvir.”
The mum-of one laughed as Ranvir added quickly: “Can I just say, at ITV, if you ask anybody who is not on the TV, but who works behind the scenes, ‘Who is the nicest person?’ Christine Lampard, everybody mentions you.”
Christine replied: “That’s very sweet. That might be you backtracking a bit there because of my diva strop in the dressing room… No, that’s very sweet of you, thank you very much. I have my moments!”

The popular TV star – who also regularly appears on Loose Women – is married to footballer Frank Lampard, and the pair welcomed their first child in September.
Speaking about baby Patricia recently, Christine told Lorraine’s entertainment editor Dan Wootton: “She is five-and-a-half months and she’s just great.
“She’s doing very well on the sleeping front, but I still have that moment when I look at her and think, ‘I can’t believe you’re mine’.”
Recalling the moment she gave birth, the presenter said: “The doctor, just before the big moment, said, ‘You’re about to become a mummy!’ And that’s when the tears started.”
She added: “It wasn’t too bad, it was what it was supposed to be, she thankfully was healthy and happy and you heard the little scream.”
