Strictly star Angela Rippon is “coming to the end of her time in the competition”, according to a body language expert.
The 78-year-old star – who is paired up with Kai Widdrington – is through to the sixth week of the competition after her performance over the weekend.
Strictly star Angela Rippon ‘coming to the end of her time’ on the show?
Over the weekend, Angela and Kai performed an Argentine tango to the tune of Tanguera by Sexteto Mayor.
Their performance impressed the judges, who awarded them 34 points for it. Motsi and Anton even gave them scores of 9!
However, body language expert Darren Stanton believes that the couple’s time on the show is coming to an end.
Speaking on behalf of Betfair Roulette, Darren shared his thoughts on Angela and Kai’s chances going forward.
“I do feel that Angela and Kai are getting to the end of their time in the competition, but they clearly are popular with viewers and they do seem to keep improving,” he said.
Strictly star Angela Rippon to miss out on semi-final spot?
Darren then continued. “From a nonverbal perspective, they genuinely get on well together and their movements mirror a lot of the time.
“Their eye contact has improved a lot over time, which is just going to make things easier for them in the long run,” he then continued.
” I don’t see them as semi-finalists, but if the public wants them, they will vote for them,” he then added of the Strictly duo.
Bobby to miss out on final?
Meanwhile, Darren doesn’t have high hopes for Bobby Brazier to make the final either.
Speaking about Bobby and Dianne’s partnership, he said: “I have seen a shift in their intensity with one another within the past few weeks.
“They do have something strong, and it’s clear they support each other through everything. But I’m getting fewer signs of passion and excitement when dancing together,” he then said.
“I get a sense that Bobby thrives off the better comments rather than the critical ones and he finds it hard when it isn’t as positive, which could prevent him from going further,” he then continued.
“I don’t see them making the final, but it’s likely they have a few more weeks in them,” he then added.
Strictly Come Dancing continues on Saturday, October 28 at 6.40pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
