It Takes Two viewers were moved to tears by dancer Nadiya Bychkova‘s tribute to partner Dan Walker after leaving Strictly Come Dancing.
Nadiya and Dan were eliminated from the show on Sunday following a dance-off with Kai Widdrington and AJ Odudu.
The pair joined Rylan Clark on It Takes Two to talk about their time on the show and Nadiya’s words left Dan and fans, fighting back tears.

What did Nadiya say to Dan Walker?
After watching a video of their best bits from main show Strictly Come Dancing, Nadiya praised Dan and her friendship with him.
She said: “It was very special to me.
“I loved teaching him but at the same time, I learned so much from him.
“You gave me confidence in front of the camera. You managed to create an environment for me where I felt safe.
“I felt free to be myself for the first time and your friendship gave me wings to fly again.”
While BBC Breakfast host Dan looked close to tears, viewers took to Twitter to talk about the surprisingly moving interview.
“All the tears for Dan & Nadiya’s farewell interview. They’re so (BLEEP) lovely,” wrote one watcher.
Another said: “Blimey you two, I was sobbing! Lovely words.”
“Well, that was unexpectedly moving…” said a third.
And a fourth tweeted: “Oh good lord! Am sobbing at It Takes Two!!!!!!!!!!”
Dan has been a long-time favourite with Strictly fans, despite not always getting the best marks from the judges.
The 44-year-old presenter took to Twitter to pay tribute to his dance partner, Nadiya, after the results show on Sunday (December 5).
“Well…what a ride! Strictly has been a truly wonderful experience for me. I enjoyed every second,” he wrote.
“Nadiya Bychovka is a superstar: kind, encouraging, funny, clever, the best teacher I could ever have hoped for & a great friend. Thanks for the support & thanks for having us.”
He also had a critic in Piers Morgan who took to Twitter following Dan’s exit.
“You came 5th mate,” Piers tweeted. “She needed a better pupil.”
When did Dan leave Strictly Come Dancing?
Dan then hit back the following morning.
“Morning,” Dan replied. “I did think about walking off when @CraigRevHorwood gave me some grief in week two but… who does that?”

He included a GIF of the moment Piers stormed off the GMB set following a fallout with Alex Beresford about Meghan Markle back in March.
Many fans were quick to praise Dan’s swipe back at Piers.
“I don’t even watch Strictly, but this retort is class,” one fan wrote.
