Some Strictly Come Dancing viewers are spending this series getting very angry indeed – and this week they’re aiming their wrath at Tilly Ramsay.
More specifically, they’re angry about the judges’ treatment of her and partner Nikita after they scored a perfect 40 last night.
The young pair performed their Couple’s Choice routine to Revolting Children from Matilda – for Musicals Week.
Motsi Mabuse, Shirley Ballas, Anton Du Beke and Cynthia Erivo all marvelled at the duo’s performance, before holding up their 10 score cards.
It was some comeback for Tilly and Nikita, after finding themselves in the bottom two last week – and the previous one.
But a number of viewers felt they had been overmarked – and that the BBC wants to keep them in the competition.
Hmm. Here’s what just a handful of them had to say on Twitter…

One remarked: “I swear Tilly has been overmarked all season. What’s up with that?!”
Another added: “Can’t believe Tilly & Nikita got a higher score than AJ & Kai, that beautiful waltz deserved 40.”
A third commented: “I don’t think anyone knows what couple’s choice is anymore. A performance rather than a dance gets marked 40 on a dancing show? Doesn’t make sense. As far as dancing a couples choice Tom and Rose did amazing! Not Tilly who paraded around the stage.”
Yet another said: “The judges must be taking direction from the gallery. Tilly given 40 for her dance . Obviously needing help to avoid the dance-off.”
Someone else postured: “It’s a bit too obvious how they’re trying to keep Tilly out of the dance off. A 40?!? Plus, how can they give out a 10, when a dance had a mistake, and give Dan a 7 when he had no mistakes. I thought Dan did well last night!”

One fan asked for reason in the comparisons: “I don’t think Tilly should have been in the dance-off the past 2 weeks, but if her dance was a 40, we need to talk about AJ’s Charleston, Rose’s Viennese waltz & couple’s choice & everything John has done (apart from last night, it wasn’t one of their best tbh).”
Another mused: “I don’t buy in to all those Strictly conspiracy theories – but no way did Tilly deserve a 40! It was good but no where near that good. Bit suspect!”
One viewer demanded drastic action: “For the good of the competition Tilly should walk because the shocking judging has thrown the reputation of the show into disrepute. A 40? Come on now.”
This fan echoed the thoughts of many: “Controversial opinion but… since that awful man made horrible, unnecessary and cruel comments about Tilly, she has been consistently overmarked. She’s a good dancer & seems a lovely young lady. But that dance was not a 40.”
Others came out in Tilly’s defence however… “Stop blaming Tilly and Nikita, they danced well and it reflected the musical.”
And another supporter said: “Fantastic night. Tilly absolutely fantastic. What a lovely young lady. Brilliant routine to Matilda. Well done Tilly.”
