How did Strictly fans respond?
Following the announcement, viewers took to the comments to share their thoughts.
And it appears that some were divided over Dan’s upcoming performance.
A few believed that a Charleston was an easy option for Dan.
Dan’s got a Charleston which is basically a free pass
One said: “I told @HausofDylan95 on the weekend that Dan would get the Charleston as his next dance as it is has been the most generously scored dance this series and unsurprisingly I was right.”
A second agreed: “Exactly what I said to my family. When does he get to do a Samba or Salsa?”
A third wrote: “Dan’s got a Charleston which is basically a free pass. Tilly or Tom to go, I reckon; Tilly because she doesn’t seem to have strong public support, and Tom because he’s so bland I keep forgetting he exists.”

@ChrisRubery Nah, Dan’s got a Charleston which is basically a free pass. Tilly or Tom to go, I reckon; Tilly because she doesn’t seem to have strong public support, and Tom because he’s so bland I keep forgetting he exists.😳

Totally underwhelmed so far by musical numbers chosen for Saturday. Yet again, @bbcstrictly producers have chosen a ridiculous song for Dan…deliberately. #ittakestwo

As much as I love Dan I think this is the one where he will go, the Charlestown is gonna be a hard one. Plus it's coming down to the great dancers now so it may be wrong to stay but there's 2 couples that could go first in my choice.

It comes after Dan and Nadiya escaped the dance-off this weekend, which left some viewers furious.
