The latest Strictly news has seen fans plead with bosses to “ditch” Halloween week.
After Eddie and Karen were voted out of the show over the weekend, the remaining celebrities left on the show include actress Ellie Leach, Layton Williams, Angela Scanlon and Nigel Harman.
However, it seems the last thing fans want to see is a spooktacular show this coming Saturday…
Strictly news: Halloween incoming!
The ballroom will be crawling with spiders, witches and broomsticks this weekend as Halloween week takes over the Strictly ballroom.
According to reports in TellyMix, there will be a Wednesday Addams-inspired routine from the Strictly professionals, plus a musical performance by the legend that is Rick Astley.
However, while the latter will doubtless thrill Rick fans, not everyone is looking forward to this weekend’s show. In fact, some viewers have called on the show’s bosses to ditch the spooky ep once and for all.
Fans want Strictly bosses to “ditch” Halloween week
On Twitter, some fans expressed their disinterest in Strictly’s Halloween-themed dances. One wrote: “I really wish @bbcstrictly would ditch Halloween week. It’s boring, it shoehorns dancers into music and stupid routines that often don’t work. We’re not kids!”
A second person agreed and said: “Absolutely agree. And the costumes often hamper the dancing.” Meanwhile, a third added: “How they expect them to dance in those ridiculous outfits is beyond me!”
“I just do not like anything to do with the devil, evil spirits, etc,” said another.
Not everyone felt the same, though. Others were highly excited to watch this week’s Halloween performances. One wrote: “Oh I love Halloween week. Purely to see what Craig [Revel Horwood] dresses up like.”
The programme isn’t just for your enjoyment,” another fired back at the calls to ditch Halloween week. “Imagine this – there are many, many children who enjoy watching! Who’d have thought it,” they added.

Eddie Kadi breaks silence on his exit
One person who won’t be in the Halloween dancefloor is Eddie Kadi.
Taking to his Instagram after his exit, Eddie told his followers that it was a “once in a lifetime” opportunity to be on Strictly. He also revealed why he wanted to join the show in the first place. He said: “I have had a once-in-a-lifetime experience being on @bbcstrictly. I wanted to join this show because I love to dance and hopefully bring a bit of entertainment and joy to those watching at home. As I sit here now and reflect, I am just so grateful.”
