Alex Scott has sent a message to her fans after her Strictly Come Dancing elimination.
The former footballer became the latest star to leave the BBC competition alongside her professional dance partner Neil Jones as the final draws closer.
Following her exit, Alex shared a photo of herself on the show and thanked fans for their support.

Alex wrote: “‘Don’t cry because it’s over.. Smile because it happened!’
“I have had the most amazing 11 weeks on a show that I have always loved. I truly have had an amazing Strictly ‘journey’ and I wouldn’t change any of it.
It’s not always about the end destination it’s about what you do along the way.
“I just want to say thank you to everyone that supported us, sent messages, voted or even spoke about us with a smile. Your support has been EVERYTHING..#teamred.
“I came onto the show because it was a dream of mine but knowing the importance of using the platform I am lucky enough to have to inspire others.
“I gave you the real me.. The shy, scared to make a mistake, the real emotions, you saw me grow in confidence and a smile that showed you that I was loving it all.. Don’t try to fit in and be something you are not.. just always be you.
“It’s not always about the end destination it’s about what you do along the way… and I feel complete and so so happy. Thank you @bbcstrictly for having me… it’s been real.”
She added: “@mr_njonesofficial your special post is pending.”
Neil also paid tribute to Alex in a sweet Instagram post.
He wrote: “Joyful joyful was the perfect song to end our @bbcstrictly journey together because from the first moment we started together that’s how you have made me feel.

“I’m just sad I’m not teaching you a new dance in the morning unless we could just dance together for fun and giggles.”
On Sunday night, Alex and Neil were in the dance-off against Chris Ramsay and Karen Hauer.
Alex had scored 27 the previous night for her Samba, while Chris got a point more for his Foxtrot.
Judges Craig Revel Horwood decided to save Alex and Neil, however, Bruno Tonioli, Motsi Mabuse and head judge Shirley Ballas saved Chris and Karen.
Alex said: “I’ve been a fan of Strictly forever so I have loved every moment. I have lived out a dream. Thank you to everyone.”
