Catherine Tyldesley has admitted she’s missing her son while training for Strictly Come Dancing.
The former Coronation Street actress, 36, is away from her home in Manchester as she rehearses for the BBC show with her professional dance partner Johannes Radebe in London.
But Catherine has said she’s missing her four-year-old son Alfie, who is at home with Catherine’s husband Tom Pitford.

Speaking to New! magazine, Catherine said: “After the second or third night [away], I do miss him so much. We FaceTime all the time.
“The first night away is quite nice, to be honest! Tom phoned me one night and said, ‘are you alright?’ and I was like, ‘it’s a struggle, but I’m getting there, babe.’
“Alfie’s four now and he’s old enough to understand that Mummy works away, and he loves Strictly, so it’s fine.”
Meanwhile, Catherine revealed another downside to doing the show – all the bruises she’s getting!
She added that she’s “covered” in bruises and she’s “black and blue”.
Last month, Alfie melted hearts with his good luck message to Catherine before her first performance on the show.
In a video shared to Catherine’s Instagram, her husband asked Alfie: “What do you want to say to Mummy and Johannes?”
The youngster replied enthusiastically: “Good luck Mummy and Johannes!”
Tom then asked him: “Are you excited? Will you be watching?” and he squealed: “Yeah!”
With encouragement from his dad, Alfie added: “Keep dancing!”
Fans were left gushing over the adorable message, with one person commenting: “Aww he is adorable. Good Luck to you both too.”
Another said: “What a sweetheart,” while a third wrote: “He’s so adorable!”

Catherine recently revealed she’s been training hard, but there’s one aspect of rehearsals she’s struggled to cope with – all the spinning around.
She’s been taking travel sickness tablets while practising the Viennese Waltz.
She revealed on BBC Breakfast: “Do you know what? I’m loving it and my partner Johannes is just phenomenal in every way. I’m extremely nervous and I’m doing the Viennese Waltz, which makes me feel very sick. I’m actually taking travel sickness tablets because of the spinning!”
