Former Strictly Come Dancing co-stars Gemma Atkinson and Simon Rimmer have gleefully poked fun at those rumours of a secret one-night stand.
Gem was a guest on Simon’s show, Sunday Brunch, today, where Simon’s co-host Tim Lovejoy couldn’t resist making a cheeky reference to the baffling speculation.
In case you missed it, rumours flew during last year’s Strictly that two of the contestants had enjoyed a steamy secret hook up and were desperate to keep it a secret.
The Twitter rumour mill then began claiming it was single Gemma and married Simon.

The good pals laughed off the crazy speculation at the time, and also had another chance to do so when Tim brought up the gossip today.
Tim quipped: “I spat my coffee out when I read about you and Rimmer snogging. Who would have thought it?”
Gemma laughed: “I know. What can I say? We spend a lot of time together!”
Simon then said: “What made me laugh is that a picture of us on Instagram, with loads of us in it, they said it was just you, me and Aljaz (Skorjanec). Just the three of us. There were 24 of us!”
Meanwhile, Gemma also made a cheeky swipe at Simon’s dancing skill when Tim joked he’d had a “back back from carrying” his co-host on Sunday Brunch when Simon was tired after rehearsals.
“So did Karen!” quipped Gemma, in reference to Tim’s pro dance partner Karen Clifton.
Taking it in good humour, Simon replied: “It’s lovely when you work with your mates, isn’t it?”
Later on, Gemma and Tim also had a little fun at Simon’s expense, when Tim pointed out Gemma made it to Blackpool and Simon didn’t.
“Blackpool was brilliant!” said Gemma, before telling Simon: “You got to dress up as Buzz Lightyear, though!”
Simon’s response? “I’m lucky to work with two of my closest friends in the whole world.”
Poor Simon!

Simon and Gemma previously poked fun at the one-night stand rumours on Twitter, with Simon tweeting in December: “Gemma is like a daughter to me and has become a friend of all my family. I think it’s funny.”
Gem added: “Howling.”
The pair also laughed at the rumours last night, when Simon announced Gemma’s appearance on Sunday Brunch by Instagramming a picture of them together with the caption: “So excited my mate Gemma is on Sunday Brunch tomorrow! Tabloid stories here we come.”
He then added: “So, Gemma, which side of the bed do you want before Sunday Brunch? #tabloids.”
