Kevin Clifton is set to be partnered with someone completely different during the next series of Strictly Come Dancing after the all but confirmed romance with 2018 winning partner Stacey Dooley.
According to a report in The Sun, the BBC has a cunning plan in place for Kevin on the next series.
Apparently they will set Kevin up with a “battleaxe” or “frumpy” partner to help prevent yet another ‘Strictly curse’ romance from happening.
A source told the paper: “Given Kevin’s reputation, justified or otherwise, no chances will be taken. He won’t be given a hot, single female, or stunning pop star for example.
“Instead the idea is to partner him with a no-nonsense woman, a real battleaxe or someone quite frumpy.”

Kevin has been married three times and was rumoured to be involved in the breakdown of celeb dance partner Louise Redknapp’s marriage – although she has denied this.
Now it seems he’s dating winning partner Stacey, and she was in a relationship with her ex-boyfriend, personal trainer, Sam Tucknott, when the romance allegedly began.
And to make matters worse, Sam has gone on to claim that he discovered their romance when he saw a “I love you” text on Stacey’s phone from Kevin.
Kevin’s most recent marriage was to fellow Strictly pro Karen Clifton, who is reportedly keen to return her name back to Karen Hauer following Kevin’s latest scandal.

Kevin’s second wife, Clare Craze, has claimed she attempted suicide by overdosing on tablets when he told her he wanted a divorce so he could commit to his then new love Karen.
Kevin was almost immediately signed up to perform as a pro dance partner in 2019’s Strictly Come Dancing following his triumphant 2018 series winner with Stacey.
However, fellow pro dancer Katya Jones has reportedly been demoted to a Strictly back-up dancer following her public kiss with her then Strictly partner Seann Walsh.
The BBC has declined to comment on this story.
