Mollie King has called last week’s shocking dance-off as a lose-lose situation.
The former Saturdays singer went head to head with JLS star Aston Merrygold, with Aston being sent home.
The exit sent shockwaves up and down the country, with everyone from Mollie’s ex-bandmate, Rochelle Humes, to former Strictly pro, James Jordan, having something to say about the elimination.

Speaking to Radio Times, Mollie admitted there really couldn’t have been a winner in that situation.
She said: “It did definitely feel like a lose-lose situation being up against Aston.
“I’ve known him for nearly ten years and we’re really good friends so it was a really difficult weekend.”
She added: “When you’re waiting for the verdict it feels like time has just stood still – it seems like the longest wait ever and undoubtedly Aston has been one of the most amazing dancers that I think has ever been on Strictly.
“So it was a really unfortunate situation that he was in the dance-off in the first place, and I don’t think he should’ve been there.
“But you just have to go through with what the results are and just dance your best.”
The blonde beauty also confessed that being in the bottom two for the second time had left her confidence a little dented.
She said: “It was emotional and we’ve had to sort of pick ourselves up.
“And AJ’s been so supportive and really helped me get back on my feet, because nobody wants to be in the dance-off two weeks running.
“So we’ve really pulled together this week and made sure that we’ve come back fighting.”
She also addressed rumours of a real life romance between her and AJ.
“I think with the show there’s always a romance rumour, so that was kind of expected,” she said.
“But yes, it is funny to us with the headlines that people come up with. But you just have to laugh it off and stay focused on the dance.”
