Supervet fans will be avoiding next week’s episode after being overcome with emotion merely watching a PREVIEW of the show.
The much-loved Channel 4 series was in typically compelling form last night as Dr Noel Fitzpatrick worked miracles with his magic hands and proved that not all superheroes wear capes – some of them wear veterinary scrubs.
But even though Supervet and Dr Noel himself have legions of fans – including Take That’s Mark Owen – some can find seeing adored pets in pain and distress too overwhelming.

As Betsy the ‘feisty’ cat whose knee had deteriorated through cancer, Beau the Christmas jumper-wearing Tibetan terrier in need of a hip replacement and Rosie the Staffordshire bull terrier with a debilitating back problem were introduced near the start of the episode, one viewer was reminded why they found the show a little hard going.
Now I remember why I don’t like watching #supervet 😢😥😭😭

Another viewer suggested she was overpowered by feelings of both dread and fear for the animals’ wellbeing followed by the relief of seeing them on the mend.
I love and hate #Supervet all at the same time. So many emotions!

However, watching the trailer for the next episode tipped that same viewer over the edge – and she wasn’t alone.
Another Supervet fan was moved to tears just by watching the teaser and tweeted she “might give next week’s episode a miss!”.
Def not watching next weeks #Supervet cause I know right now I’ll be balling my eyes out!

May we suggest pausing if what’s on the telly is just too much? There’s always catch up – and maybe Wednesdays on Channel 4 should come with a warning of: ‘Beware: this programme contains ALL the feels.’
After all, going from the drama of Supervet straight into the next show at 9pm really is emotional overload…
Literally don’t know why I watch The Supervet because it makes me well sad. And now One Born Every Minute what am I doing… 🤦🏽♀️
