Viewers were dabbing at their eyes within the first few moments of tonight’s Britain’s Got Talent as Susan Boyle made a return to the show.
The Scottish singer was runner-up on a decade ago and arguably the most notorious act ever.
Susan looked confident and relaxed as she sang the same song from her original audition 10 years ago – I Dreamed A Dream from musical Les Miserables.

The 58-year-old received a lengthy standing ovation from the crowd, before Simon Cowell took to the stage at the London Palladium to embrace her, gushing: “Still got the magic, Susan. Haven’t you? Thank you for coming.”
Ant and Dec then pulled her in for a hug after she left the stage.
“10 years older. It’s been 10 years, hasn’t it?” Ant asked her.
“And you two haven’t changed a bit,” she responded before embracing the pair.
“You can come again,” Dec will quipped.
After coming second to Diversity in 2009, SuBo, as she became known, released her debut album in November of that year.
The record became the UK’s best-selling debut of the time, beating a previous record held by Leona Lewis’s Spirit.
And it was clear from comments on Twitter that there is still a lot of love for the humble star around the UK…
