Good Morning Britain’s Susanna Reid gave up alcohol last year in an effort to embrace a healthier lifestyle, much to her co-star Piers Morgan’s horror.
However, Susanna has revealed she’s keen to drop her teetotal lifestyle and joked that she is desperate to have an alcoholic drink, admitting she will break her self-imposed ban if she manages to scoop a National Television Award tonight.

Talking about the evening’s upcoming National Television Awards with co-hosts Piers Morgan and Charlotte Hawkins, the 48-year-old said: “I’m desperate for a drink – I could not be more desperate for a drink! Give me an excuse to go out and have a drink.”
Charlotte then asked what drink Susanna wanted and she replied: “That’s a very good question. I think I’d like a Margarita. If someone could prepare a nice, fresh lime Margarita.”
Turning to Piers she joked: “And a Greggs vegan sausage roll for my TV husband.”

Susanna, who has lost a stone and a half in weight since starting her health kick six months ago, says since ditching booze she feels: “Clearer, sharper and more energetic than ever.”
Piers previously declared that if Good Morning Britain won the award for Best Daytime Show, which they are competing for against shows including Loose Women, This Morning and The Jeremy Kyle show, his co-host would present the show drunk.

He said: “Susanna Reid will come in her evening attire, fresh from the NTA after-party, if we win, and present the show drunk.
“I am normally half-drunk anyway so it makes no difference to me, but she doesn’t drink.”
The controversial TV presenter also told how Susanna’s teetotal lifestyle means he can no longer go on double dates with her and her partner, Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish.
He told The Sun: “The trouble is they don’t drink, the pair of them, so ‘Do you want to come out for some water and kale?’ isn’t really the best invite, is it?
“There’s been no double-dating since she gave up alcohol.”
