ITV’s gripping new drama The Bay returned to our screens last night (March 27) and viewers think they’ve guessed who the killer is already.
The second episode of the series had DS Lisa Armstrong, played by actress Morven Christie, continue her investigation into the murder of Dylan Meredith and the disappearance of his twin sister, Holly.
Sean Meredith (Jonas Armstrong) was arrested at the beginning of the episode but officers quickly released him after discovering evidence that supposedly proved he wasn’t the killer.

The attention of the police was then drawn to Nick Mooney (Matthew McNulty), as he was spotted hanging around near the youth club.
What’s more, CCTV footage showed him arguing with Dylan the night he went missing.
Nick was later released, but only because there was insufficient evidence for police to charge him.
Some viewers are certain it’s the builder Vincent (Adam Long), who has been hanging around Lisa’s 15-year-old daughter Abbey.
One tweeted: “That builder definitely has something to do with it.”
Another agreed, commenting: “I think it’s that builder man.”
Someone else was willing to put money on it: “Bet you a tenner Abby’s builder pal did it.”

Many other viewers were less sure of the killer’s identity, with a number of characters thrown into the mix.
Even Abby, Lisa’s daughter, was considered a potential murderer.
One said: “Am enjoying and intrigued by #TheBay although I realise this is quite an unpopular opinion. Lisa’s daughter did it? Too far-fetched?”
A second Twitter user echoed this theory, writing: “Still think Lisa’s daughter did it.”

The Bay episode two ended with dramatic scenes as Nick headed out on his bike with Sean on his tail in a van.

Sean stepped on the gas an appeared to ram Nick off his bike – but the credits rolled before we could really know what happened.
– The Bay continues on ITV next Wednesday (April 3) at 9pm.
