The Chase contestant drives viewers up the wall with ‘annoying’ habit

Where's the mute button?

The Chase fans failed to see the funny side when a contestant wouldn’t stop laughing on the show.

While it’s hardly the most serious of quizzes, viewers found her constant cackle super ‘annoying’ and some even threatened to “mute her” if she didn’t stop.

Which she didn’t.

Kelly appeared on Thursday’s edition (May 23) of the quiz show and clearly enjoyed herself.

The charity manager from Newport, who fosters children with disabilities in her spare time, told host Bradley Walsh that she and her husband enjoy travelling and hoped to go to India with her winnings.

Bubblier than a shaken bottle of Cava, she couldn’t stop laughing despite only winning £3,000 on the cash builder.

And she continued to laugh throughout.

After admitting she “loved” Mark Labbett, aka The Beast, she continued to giggle as he made his way on stage.

He remarked: “That is the first time someone has laughed at me as I’ve walked down.”

While some viewers “wanted what she’s on” and admired her positivity, others weren’t so forgiving and couldn’t wait until the show ended.

One said: “#TheChase. God that annoying laugh is driving me insane. MUTE!”

Another wrote: “Are you currently watching The Chase or have you thrown your TV out of the window? #cackle.”

A third added: “Well done, but please stop cackling! Have to admit I’ve started giggling though #TheChase.”

“Do they give them laughing gas?” asked another, while one more commented: “Had to turn The Chase off, that woman’s false laugh is so irritating.”

Kelly had the last laugh in the end, though, as she took home a share of £14,000 after the team of three won the final chase.

Laughing all the way to the bank, some might say!
