The Jeremy Kyle Show pulled from ITV today due to death of guest

ITV has released a statement

The Jeremy Kyle show viewers were left baffled as the show was replaced by Dickinson’s Real Deal this morning.

The daytime show usually airs at 9:25 am every weekday morning however today, it didn’t air at all.

However, ITV has now released a statement saying the episode would not be aired because a participant passed away a week after the recording of the show they featured in.

An ITV spokeswoman said: “Everyone at ITV and The Jeremy Kyle Show is shocked and saddened at the news of the death of a participant in the show a week after the recording of the episode they featured in and our thoughts are with their family and friends.

“ITV will not screen the episode in which they featured.

“Given the seriousness of this event, ITV has also decided to suspend both filming and broadcasting of The Jeremy Kyle Show with immediate effect in order to give it time to conduct a review of this episode of the show.”

Viewers too to Twitter to question why the show hadn’t aired today.

One person said: “#jeremykyle. I’ve switched off in protest… come back Jezza.”

Another wrote: “Am I in some sort of time warp? Got up turned on tv, normally watch #JeremyKyle while having breakfast & it’s not on. WHY??”

A third tweeted: “@ITV please explain why #jeremykyle has been replaced this morning…inquiring minds need to know!”

Meanwhile, during an episode last week, host Jeremy Kyle told his security staff to “have a word” with themselves after a lively moment, in which a man called Jazz came onto the stage earlier than expected.
