The star made the confession during a recent podcast appearance.

The One Show star Alex Jones on ‘bloody awful week’
The One Show star Alex, 48, sat down with McFly star Harry Judd for their podcast this week, in which she opened up about her life recently.
Speaking on the Binge! podcast, Alex was asked how she was doing.
Can you swear on a podcast? Terrible week.
“We have had a bloody awful week I won’t lie to you. Can you swear on a podcast? Terrible week. So basically we came back from skiing with no broken bones and then Annie broke her arm,” she said.
Alex went on to explain that the accident had happened when her son, Kit, five, and daughter Annie, three, were playing Gladiators on the sofa. The star also shares son Teddy, seven, with husband Charlie Thomson.

Alex’s daughter rushed to hospital
“They got on an arm each, clashed in the middle, and somehow Kit fell against Annie’s elbow and you know when you know because the cry is different? And we really tried to brush it under the carpet like the good parents we are,” she said.
“But the next day she was still beside herself and it was swollen. Yeah broken, clean break at the elbow. So plaster cast past her elbow but ready for the next layer? She’s also got chicken pox and she’s covered in it,” she then said.
Alex rounded off the story by branding it “10/10 parenting hell”. She added that little Annie now looks like a “pizza”, referring to the chicken pox.
She also revealed that due to illness, Annie’s only been able to attend nursery once in the past month.
Poor Annie!

Alex sparks health concerns
Last month, Alex had her own health issues to worry about – and viewers seemed to notice them too.
During an episode of The One Show in February, Alex sounded very croaky – leaving some viewers wondering why she’d even bothered coming into work.
“Oh dear Alex doesn’t sound well,” one viewer tweeted. “Oh Alex’s throat sounds sore,” another asked. “Couldn’t they have found someone to replace Alex?” a third grumbled.
The source of her illness was, in fact, her children, who had given her the flu!
“I’ve been absolutely poleaxed by some sort of flu for the last couple of days. I know it doesn’t look like it, but I do feel quite a lot better than I did, especially on Friday, but my voice is now taking a hit,” she said on Instagram at the time.
