With excitement mounting for the new series of Dancing On Ice, several names are already rumoured to be getting their skates ready.
Earlier this year, it was announced that the ITV ice-skating show has been renewed for another series to air in 2019 and the big question on everyone’s lips is: who will be taking to the ice rink?
Well, several famous faces have been linked to the show including TOWIE’s Gemma Collins, former Westlife singer Brian McFadden and even TV presenter Rylan Clark-Neal.

Hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield will return to front the series.
Here are all the rumoured contestants so far!
Gemma Collins
TOWIE star Gemma Collins was one of the first names linked to the series, with an ITV source telling The Sun: “The GC is a big character and will be telly gold. Strictly’s loss is Dancing on Ice’s gain.”
The speculation received a mixed response from fans on Twitter, with some claiming Gemma’s involvement made the next series of Dancing On Ice ‘must watch’, while others were less keen.
Reality veteran Gemma, 37, has already appeared on Celebs Go Dating, Splash!, Celebrity MasterChef, Celebrity Big Brother and I’m A Celebrity.
Brian McFadden
Kerry Katona’s ex-husband and former Westlife singer Brian McFadden is another celebrity rumoured to be going on the show.
A source told The Sun this week: “Brian is about to sign on the dotted line and is really looking forward to being part of the show.”
This would be Brian’s first reality TV job since his brief stint on The Jump in 2016.
After Brian’s name joined the rumour mill, a teaser released by ITV to Instagram left fans convinced he will definitely take to the ice rink.
The account posted a photo of a celebrity holding a microphone while sitting on stool, something Brian used to do when he performed with Westlife. Hmm…
Wes Nelson
Love Island star Wes Nelson is reportedly being lined up for the new series after becoming a hit on the ITV2 dating show this summer, which saw him find love with girlfriend Megan Barton Hanson.
It’s said bosses were impressed by his energy and charisma on Love Island, as well as his huge social media following.
ITV recently released a photo to their official Instagram page of a celebrity taking part in the show and fans are convinced it’s Wes.
The pic sees the star facing away from the camera while wearing a silver chain necklace around their neck, which is something fans have noticed Wes wears quite a lot. They don’t miss any details do they!
Richard Blackwood
Former EastEnders actor Richard Blackwood is another famous face who could very well be donning a pair of skates after Christmas.
After his name was linked to the show in the media, a teaser released by ITV to Instagram seemed to confirm the rumour. The account posted a photo of a shirtless celebrity, with many eagle-eyed fans noting the mystery celeb’s chest tattoo was identical to one Richard has… move over Sherlock!

Rylan Clark-Neal
Big Brother’s Bit On The Side host Rylan Clark-Neal could be appearing on the show if the decision has anything to do with Phillip Schofield!
Earlier this month, Phil told What’s On TV that he’s been persuading Rylan to do the show because he’s a “brilliant” skater.
Phil, who will host the ice-skating show alongside Holly Willoughby, said: “We all began pitching our ideas a couple of months ago [for Dancing On Ice]. I have hounded Rylan to take part.
“He’s a really good skater and he’s such a great guy.
“He’d be about 20 foot tall but he’d be brilliant and so funny but he won’t do it, he says, ‘It’s too hard, I’ll hurt myself’. I keep pestering him.”
Jane Danson
2018 finalist Brooke Vincent told Digital Spy that her Coronation Street co-star Jane Danson might appear on the show.
Brooke said: “Jane Danson said she might have a go.”
ITV recently released a teaser photo of one of the female contestants taking part in the new series and fans have noticed something similar the celebrity has to Jane.
One person pointed out that the mystery famous face has a mole on her neck in the exact same spot Jane has one! Could they be right?
Lucy Fallon
Brooke, 26, also said Corrie’s Lucy Fallon could have a go, too!
She added: “I told Lucy Fallon she should have a go as well.”
Katie Price
Katie Price reportedly asked ITV to sign her up to Dancing On Ice to bag the pay packet.
However, earlier this week, it was rumoured that Katie has missed out on a spot on the show following her decision to seek help in rehab for post-traumatic stress disorder.
Nicola Sturgeon
Politician and leader of the Scottish National Party Nicola Surgeon admitted the one reality TV show she’d be up for doing is Dancing On Ice.
During an appearance on Scotland Tonight, Nicola said: “I don’t know if it’s still on actually, when I was younger I used to like and do ice skating quite a lot.
“So the Dancing On Ice one, I quite fancy that.”
A representative for ITV told ED!: “At the moment any names are speculation and we will be confirming our line up in due course.”
The brand new series is expected to start early next year.
Host Phil said on This Morning: “We can exclusively announce that it has been rebooked, recommissioned, re-bought for another series next year, so we will be back next year.”

Meanwhile, Siobhan Greene, ITV’s Head of Entertainment Commissioning, said “The show’s welcome back has exceeded our expectations and it’s been fantastic to see the audience at home loving it.
“The recommission is a no brainer and it’s brilliant for everyone involved to know it’ll be back next year.”
