This week, EastEnders fans found out a shocking secret about Keanu Taylor’s dad – that he’s currently serving a life sentence in jail for attacking mum Karen.
Actor Zack Morris, who plays older bro Keegan, has revealed that his on-screen family will be left in ruins if the devastating truth ever gets out.
Keegan overheard his dad Mitch and mum Karen discussing the shocking truth about Keanu’s dad – but they have no idea he was hiding and heard everything.
In an interview with Digital Spy, Zack admits the future will be explosive if his character reveals what he knows.

He says: “I think it would probably tear the family apart. There would be questions asked about why Keanu was never told. Karen’s argument would obviously be that she didn’t want to upset him.
“I think if everyone else does find out the truth, it’ll be taken quite badly. Each of the family members have got different personalities, but all of them are quite hot-headed. I can’t imagine them speaking calmly about it – I think it’d be a bit of an argument.”
We reckon that’s an understatement!
Last night (Thursday 15 March), viewers saw launderette assistant Karen (Lorraine Stanley) admit she had been in an abusive relationship with Keanu’s dad.
Clearing up the mystery of Keanu’s parentage, she told Mitch (Keegan’s dad) that he’d left her fighting for her life in intensive care after he’d tried to kill her.

Eavesdropping from behind a door, Keegan was left in shock by the revelation and future episodes show him struggling with the weight of the knowledge.
But does he tell his brother or does Mitch – also trouble! – let it ‘slip’?

Actor Zack told the website that his character doesn’t want to tell his little brother, adding: “Keegan thinks the whole family doesn’t need to know and it should be kept hush-hush.
“I can imagine that if Keanu found out what happened to his dad, that might change his character. It’s a really big thing to find out, so by keeping it quiet, it’s better in the long-run and it’ll save a lot of heartbreak.”
Hmmm, but this is EastEnders we’re talking about… More likely that the violent ex-boyfriend breaks out of jail and stalks Karen to Walford…
One thing is for sure, though, as Zack tells us: “You’re going to be seeing a lot of me and a lot of the Taylors.”
