What happened in episode 2 of The Tower?

In last night’s episode, DS Sarah Collins (Gemma Whelan) was making some headway into the case.

They also found out that Matthews had switched off his bodycam while interviewing a sex worker who had been the victim of an assault by her pimp.

And what about Matthews’ boss, Kieran Walsh?

All these revelations were told in flashback, and some found it hard going.

How did viewers react to the episode?

One said: “Anyone else confused and a little underwhelmed by #TheTower?

“It better have a plausible explanation by the end.”

Another wrote: “Was there a twist? Did I miss it? I am so confused #TheTower.”

A third chipped in by saying: “Watching #TheTower but my god I’m lost [shrug emoji, cry-laugh emoji].”
