A segment on today’s This Morning had viewers cringing as they hit out at Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby for being childish.
The hosts welcomed Charlie Bloom, the winner of Britain’s Best Bush competition, to show them how to trim shrubs and plants into ornamental shapes.
The innuendos began from the off as they discussed the type of plants you could use and the tools needed to perfect topiary.

“No one likes an unruly bush,” said Phil at one point.
He also asked about diseases that can affect particular plants commenting: “Your bush can get fungus.”
Charlie was also asked about what tools you need to use to shape the plants and she replied: “You need to have the proper tools to get the effect you want.”
Holly and Phil then took on a topiary challenge and both had to shape a bush into a heart, with Holly finding the task especially daunting, but Phil getting stuck in with an electric trimmer.
Trinny Woodall then judged their efforts and declared Holly the winner.
But most people watching at home thought no one won throughout the whole segment, and slated the amount of innuendos and comments made.
“Urgh, the cringy sexual innuendos about ‘bushes’ on #ThisMorning are SO [BLEEP] BORING. It’s SO past it’s sell by date,” wrote one.
Another added: “#ThisMorning Oh [bleep] right off with this outdated schoolboy humour. You’ve done this type of ‘hilarious’ item already this year and guess what it wasn’t [bleep] funny then.”
“This is so pathetic. ‘Bush’ snigger, snigger, snigger…Grow the [bleep] up! #ThisMorning,” said a third.
A fourth commented: “FFS Philip and Holly are so childish with the bush jokes. Grow up! #ThisMorning.”
“These two idiots should have their pictures in the dictionary under the word ‘childish’ #thismorning,” said someone else.
It didn’t stop there.
