This Morning: Holly Willoughby divides viewers during Dr Scott segment

ITV viewers hit out at the star on Twitter

Holly Willoughby has divided viewers after a dog segment on This Morning today descended into chaos.

The 40-year-old presenter was in the studio alongside Phillip Schofield to introduce a segment on pets.

The duo were chatting about DogTV. It’s a new 24-hour seven-days a week channel that aims to alleviate separation anxiety, loneliness and stress for pets.

As Holly began chatting, the dog she was holding started pulling at the leash and eventually sent her flying across the studio.

“Come back, come back, come back,” shouted Holly as the dog continued to disobey her.

As a result, Dr Scott Miller was trying to be heard over the mayhem that had ensued.

What happened on This Morning today with Holly Willoughby?

During one part of the segment, poor Holly was heard repeatedly calling the dog’s name to try and get its attention.

After Dr Scott had spoke, Phil said: “I’m sorry I didn’t hear a word you said.”

Holly explained: “Sorry!” to which Dr Scott said: “No that’s okay!”

However, some viewers watching weren’t happy because they couldn’t hear what the vet had to say.

One person said on Twitter: “So annoying. I wanted to hear the dog TV segment and Holly was messing around.

“Why didn’t she let the dog go for a sniff around?”

A second said: “Why ask Dr Scott to talk about dogs if you are not going to listen to him…”

Another said: “The dog’s ignoring Holly!” followed by laughing face emojis.

This Morning airs on ITV, weekdays, from 10am.
