This Morning hosts under fire as they’re accused of double standards by ITV viewers

Child poverty followed by VERY expensive pyjamas?

This Morning hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield came under fire today as viewers of the ITV show took to Twitter to accuse them of double standards.

The comments came after Lisa Snowdon hosted her festive pyjamas segment… straight after a section about Save The Children’s Christmas Jumper Day.

What did This Morning fans say about the ITV show?

This Morning fans took to Twitter to bemoan the cost of Lisa’s festive pyjamas.

Let’s just say that, after everything Brits have been through over the past couple of years, the segment was a little aspirational.

“They never do anything on this show for normal folk,” said one disgruntled viewer.

What happened during the pyjama segment?

Lisa, who was dressed in PJs, showed off her festive picks.

“£158.40 for pyjamas? Get to [bleep]! The country is skint!” declared one.

“Lisa Snowdon does not live in the real world! £158 for PJs – plus £55 for slippers?!” said another.

However, others took issue with an earlier segment, during which Phil and Holly spoke to Ashley Jensen about the Save The Children campaign.

Holly and Phil urged viewers to give as much as they could on Christmas Jumper Day, with money raised going to Save The Children.

And, after an earlier discussion about Boris Johnson being “out of touch” with the country, the show and its hosts were accused of doing much the same.

How did This Morning viewers react?

One said: “You go on and on about the clown Boris not being in touch with the country then have a fashion item with £158 pyjamas….. [bleep] right off.”

Another criticised the pyjamas segment coming after the chat about disadvantaged children.

“Had This Morning on in background and just heard them go from plight of refugees this Christmas to £195 silk PJs,” said one.

“£50 odd pound for Christmas PJs you will wear once a [bleep]ing year… and they were on about families being hard up earlier!” said another.

“So we go from children who have nothing to overpriced PJs,” commented a third.
