Viewers of This Morning were left outraged today after the show was accused of promoting “dangerous” weight-loss jabs.
Thursday morning’s (March 13) show, hosted by Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard, welcomed Lisa Snowdon for the fashion segment. Before showing off the looks, Cat revealed that “more than one in 10 women are currently taking weight-loss jabs”.
Cat shared that Lisa had been “on a mission” to demonstrate how women can “celebrate” and dress for their “new body”.

This Morning slammed today for promoting weight-loss jabs
While the segment also focused on clothing for general weight loss, many viewers were turned off by the show promoting injections to lose weight.
“Promoting weight loss injections,” one user wrote on X, adding the eye roll emoji.
“As someone who’s trying to recover from anorexia #thismorning talking about these jabs every single day makes things even harder. We are already trying to dodge weight-loss jab conversation in every other aspect of the world,” another disappointed viewer shared.
“Weight-loss jab makeovers? We get that this show is obsessed with weight-loss jabs but now they want to do makeovers for the people who take it? Honestly, if this show can sink any lower than it has right now, I wouldn’t be surprised if ITV decided to cancel it,” a third remarked.
“Promoting these weight-loss jabs is dangerous. People are more likely to buy them online, not knowing what’s in them, and then cause more health issues. I’ve had it happen to friends first hand and it was horrible. @thismorning do better!” a fourth person wrote.
“Weight-loss jabs again! No need for them… just exercise and watch what you eat!” another person said.

‘Weight-loss jabs changed my life’
This isn’t the first time This Morning has promoted weight-loss jabs, however.
In January, Cat and Ben interviewed a 60-year-old man named Ted Ward who said “weight-loss jabs changed my life”.
Referring to the injections as a “game changer”, he revealed he lost 16 kilos in just four months.
Alerting viewers at home to have blood tests beforehand, Ted revealed he had no side effects using the jabs.
